WHERE TO BEGIN?!?

I was at work yesterday and this amazing nurse was telling me of her trip to Africa this summer. She went on a christian mission. They were providing medical treatment for people who have NEVER had anyone come to where they live and treat them. NEVER. She said that it was so overwhelming and at the end of the four days in that area she wondered if they had made a difference at all. She wondered if it was even worth going there. She shared these thoughts with one of the doctors on the mission with her and he said are you kidding? NO ONE has ever come here before. Now they know that someone cares about them. It made a difference. Can you imagine that? We have a little cold and we call the doctor. He sees us or gives us medicine and we do not have to think twice about it. Our children are sick and we do the same. We do not have to watch them suffer for lack of medical treatment. We do not have to watch them die for that same reason. We are so blessed. We have so much.
I don't how to make it happen and I am overwhelmed at the thought of where to begin, but maybe if someone reads this and knows anything about anything you could help. I would love to find a way to raise money for missionaries giving so much of there time, talent, and a lot of times safety to let people who have nothing know that we care. I know that there have to be ways to help. Even a little help. So if you have found my blog and think you could help please let me know.

THIS IS ALL NEW TO ME!!!

This is my very first blog and it is extremely intimidating. There are so many great blogs and I want mine to be great. I want to put it to good use, as soon as I figure out how it all works. I am hoping to change everyday. Change me and change others. I haven't quite figured out how I am going to accomplish that, but it will happen.
